What we collect
When you request a quote we process your name, company, contact details and shipment information to answer your request (legal basis: pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Tracking lookups only process the tracking number you enter.
If you use the website chat we process your name, optional email address, the messages you send and the page you were on, to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The chat keeps a random conversation code in your browser's local storage so you can continue the conversation; it is not used for tracking.
Retention
Quote requests are kept for up to 3 years after our last contact, unless a contract follows. Chat conversations are kept for up to 12 months.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap and fonts from Google Fonts, which receive your IP address when those resources load.
Your rights
You may access, correct, erase or port your data, or object to processing, by emailing privacy@bittradevault.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
